action-research & documentary 2016-2019
The City Coalition methodology started in 2016 as a civil initiative and action-research project in the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg an initiative by Esseline van de Sande (Psychologist) and Shervin Nekuee (Sociologist). From mid-2017 onwards the concept and methodology have been further developed and expanded by Esseline, also in other cities like Leeuwarden and Rotterdam.

From the beginning Joël van Dooren (filmmaker) has followed and recorded the process, resulting in the film "The City Coalition".
